Maker Thursdays: July Edition
July 27th 6-10pm
Every month, on the last Thursday of every month to be exact, we select a group of 6-8 artists to join us here at the gallery to hand-make artwork on a small scale. Each artist will work in a different medium. Think a little bit of everything: origami, embroidery, sculpture, jewelry, paper-cutting, etc. There are a lot of mediums out there, so each month we will work to bring a different group of artists working in a variety of mediums to you! When the artist are done crafting their piece—the artwork will be for sale. Visitors of the event can purchase the piece directly from the artist during the event, the gallery will not be taking a commission on the sale.
Visit us on Facebook for details and updates about the next group of talented local artists!
Castro Art Walk
On August 3rd
, art walk on over to Art Attack SF
for live music by Kiya and Eduardo!
Kiya and Eduardo met 2.5 years ago in East Palo Alto and play a blend of blues, indie, and Latin rock. Their unique sound is a result of both their heritage and their evolution as musicians. Eduardo began his musical career as a drummer before taking up the guitar, and his roots as a drummer echo in the rhythmically complex strum patterns he sometimes deploys while improvising. The atypical riffs will both surprise and delight keen listeners. Kiya has been writing music since the age of 15 and his songs belong to variety of genres, from soft rock love songs to lively dance songs. However, no matter the genre or the tempo, Kiya's songs often have a wistful quality to them that is reminiscent of classical Persian music, the music that filled his childhood home.

Bay Area Artists will paint these vinyl records in whatever ways their hearts desire. All 100 records will be exhibited at Churchkey Bar in San Francisco from September 1-January 2nd.
